Work without barriers
Leonardo da Vinci’s Partnership programme “Work without barriers” has finished with a final meeting hold in Sosnowiec, Poland, from 8th to 12th of June, 2010.
The participants have discussed about the project development, writing a final evaluation and a common output. Sistema Turismo is the Italian partner in this project and has participated in the meeting with several representatives.
ZSTiL Sosnowiec institute, main promoter of the project, has also organized a dissemination conference for all its Leonardo da Vinci projects. Among the participants of the conference there were different representatives from Leonardo da Vinci and Comenius Polish National Agencies as well as from several Polish high schools.
The Partner Project “WORK WITHOUT BARRIERS” has emerged from the thoughts about the necessity of connecting vocational education with the job market needs and the importance of preparing the students for undertaking their first economic activity in a proper way.
Being aware of the great educational and preparatory role that school and educational organizations play in assisting students on their way to the first job we wanted to answer the question “how, in a proper way, we could prepare our students to undertake their tasks in variable economic, and social circumstances. The project may function as a means of improving an educational process and giving all students equal educational opportunities.
We also assume that the young people we teach not only should have enough professional competence after finishing the school, but they also should have good knowledge of work law, tax law and legal regulations in terms of their own working activity including setting–up and running businesses. There were four workshop visit in Poland, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain and this final visit in Poland. During the visits we could see different organizations, institutions and schools concerned with labour market and educational system.
